Philips Iron DST5040/80: the review, technical characteristics, pros / cons, reviews
A very stylish and elegant steam iron, made in a strict coffee color with a smooth collar, and yet for a little money. The iron is all plastic, but there is a metal element on the bottom, this is accordingly the soleplate itself.
It is quite light due to its plastic body, but it has a high performance, as the steam power here is as much as 200 grams. The power of this device is 2600 watts, it works from a two-meter cord with a fabric sheath, which of course does not burn and holds the device well.

Functionality
Philips DST5040/80 is not only a great design solution, but a really good quality iron. It works in several modes: the first mode is steam mode, which is adjustable in two positions - if the carousel is a two, then the wheel at the front of the iron should be a one. If you want to turn on the turbo mode, you have to set the carousel to a three, or to the maximum position and move the front wheel to a two.
The interval of impact should not be more than once every 5 seconds. Steam is ejected by a special key. To clean the iron from scale and everything that has accumulated in it, you can also use two modes: the first mode is self-cleaning, and the second is the mode of descaling. To do this, you need to pull the front wheel out of the device and shake out all the scale residue.
Distinguishing features
From the external controls we can distinguish the carousel of power adjustment, located traditionally on the under the handle and three modes of adjustment. Further on top are the keys of the steam blow, the sprayer, as well as the possibility of self-cleaning and decalcification.

Customer Reviews
Vitaly:
The iron is just a fire! Not only does it look stylish but it heats up fast, doesn't spill anything, doesn't burn, doesn't stink, etc. as is often the case with cheap irons. It's definitely worth its price and even more!
