Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite: review, specifications, pros / cons, reviews

Iron Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite refers to the "premium" line. It is equipped with digital control, intelligent temperature control system, as well as a super-powerful steam blow (can be used for vertical steaming of things).

Complemented by an unconventional design, made in black and purple colors. It also has a system for automatically adjusting the steam density. Has a whole set of built-in sensors that make it virtually impossible to overheat the soleplate or spoil things.

Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite features

The Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite iron features:963

  1. Continuous, adjustable and automatic steam (DynamicQ technology). Choice of modes by push buttons on the handle and on the side of the body.
  2. Steam Boost. Available in 2 modes: standard and "turbo". The last mode increases not only the density of the steam cloud, but also the power with which it is delivered (provides deep penetration of steam into the fabric).
  3. Automatic temperature adjustment (OptimalTEMP technology).
  4. Automatic shutdown if stationary for more than 120 seconds. But at the same time it prevents the soleplate from overheating. That is, even if the iron is stationary, first the temperature decreases to the minimum value, then it is completely turned off. The iron will not turn on until any of the buttons on the handle is pressed.
  5. Vertical steaming.
  6. Limescale protection.
  7. System that prevents water splashing when using steam.
  8. Self-cleaning.
  9. Turbo-heat function, allows ironing as soon as 5-10 seconds after plugging iron in.

Distinctive features

Philips GC5039/30 Azur Elite belongs to the "premium" category. This means it has a perfect assembly, uses more durable, wear-resistant materials of the body. Naturally, all this affects its cost, but these irons are mostly bought by those who are used to using only the highest quality equipment.

The power cable has a direct connection (through the protective insert, preventing the wire from breaking). Located as far back as possible, so in general does not interfere with the work.

The soleplate is thickened. Therefore, even with complex folds, the iron copes perfectly, although this has little effect on its weight.

Customer Reviews

Almost all the reviews are very positive. The estimated rating of the iron - 4.8 points out of 5. The only reproach is in the side of the cost. After all, it is about 1.5 - 1.7 times higher than for other irons from the Azur line.

I got this iron for my birthday. I used a cheap one before, even without the name on the body itself. Of course the difference is huge in favor of Philips. Very gentle ironing, no stickiness, no need to adjust the temperature at all, it automatically sets it and always right for some reason. It is also very compact. The only thing I don't like is that the steam regulator is very stiff. Could have made a simple button for that.
